Recipe: Fresh Fruit with Sweet Almond Dipping Sauce You can prepare this sauce in advance and keep it in small portable containers, then dip pieces of fruit in it for a healthy, unusual snack. The sauce works equally well with rice crackers or bagel chips, too! Your choice of fresh fruit (apple slices, banana chunks, soft (fresh) dates, dried figs, grapes, etc.) 1/2 cup plain rice or soy milk 2/3 cup almond butter 1 T. agave syrup or honey 1/8 tsp. ground cardamom (optional) Place everything except fruit in a blender and whir until smooth. Adjust thickness as desired (add more milk or a bit of water for a thinner sauce). Store in airtight container in the refrigerator. Makes about 1 cup 1-1/4 cups sauce.
